COVID-19 has intensified things that have existed throughout humankind’s history: loss, loneliness, stress, happiness, and growth. Now, we are also in the midst of a nationwide conversation about racial injustice.
What if someone traveled across the country for a month talking with people of all stripes?
What stories and personalities will emerge along the way?
How have things changed for people and what do they think the future holds for them?
What else happens in our nation before the journey is over?
You can ride along to see life in America, while helping to shape and create the documentary. The richest experience will be the Daily Journal entry written for everyone who’s fueling the journey. Think of it as an intimate conversation about the people we meet and what happened each day featuring video snippets, photos, and real-time data about the world and the journey.
Did we mention it’s free to subscribe? You can chip in for gas money from time to time, but only if you want to. Just don’t hog the center arm rest. :)

Scott Henderson will hit the road traveling westward from Indiana to Oregon and then return eastward. Eventually, he will arrive in Georgia and reunite with his son after not seeing him in person since the pandemic started.
His travels will introduce him to new people while reconnecting him with family and friends as he traces segments of the Transcontinental Railroad, Oregon Trail, Lewis & Clark’s path, Mississippi River Valley, Natchez Trace, and other historic routes. It will remind us we are not the first ones to face adversity and we can create a story to share with future generations about how we fared in these trying moments.
